Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 Coming to PS4 Xbox One and PC

first_img Back when the original Mega Man Legacy Collection was released, many felt it was incomplete. After all, it only featured the first six games in the series. A follow up with the rest of the Blue Bomber’s adventures was inevitable, and today, Capcom has officially announced that Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will be headed to PC, PS4, and Xbox One both digitally and at retail on August 8 for $19.99.Where the original collection focused exclusively on Mega Man games from the Nintendo Entertainment System, this collection is all about everything that came afterward. The compilation features Mega Man 7 through 10. Mega Man 7 was originally on the SNES while Mega Man 8 came out on the PlayStation and Sega Saturn. The most fun games of this collection are Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10 While these came out for the PS3 and Xbox One, they were purposely made to look and play like the old NES games. They are every bit as great as those classic titles.Capcom didn’t just toss the old games into a collection without also including new features. New players (or those who don’t want to be mercilessly slaughtered) can choose the “Extra Armor” option which reduces damage by half. There are even checkpoint saves throughout the levels — useful for when you meet an untimely demise. More experienced gamers have the option of playing remixed stages and testing their mettle in Challenge Mode. There’s even a global leaderboard for those who want to prove they are the best Mega Man player on Earth! A museum mode containing production art, sketches, development materials, concepts, a music player, and more rounds out the entire package.AdChoices广告Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will be demoed at Capcom’s E3 booth. As a huge fan of the franchise, you had better believe I will be checking this game out when I’m at the show next week. As for everyone else, August 8 isn’t that far away so the wait won’t be so bad. Considering how we’re also (finally) getting Sonic Mania in August, this summer will be great for fans of retro games.
